IVE member An Yujin is wowing fans with her powerful vocals in a cover of “Golden”, but some are now asking—can we hear it live?
On July 21, IVE’s official YouTube channel dropped GOLDEN Covered by IVE ANYUJIN, a new performance video featuring An Yujin’s take on the emotional song from the hit animated film KPop Demon Hunters.
The original track, sung by the fictional K-pop group Huntrix, has been a hot favorite among idols lately, with several artists already sharing their own versions.
Yujin joined the wave, following in the footsteps of vocalists like Kwon Jin Ah, Davichi’s Lee Hae Ri, MAMAMOO’s Solar, Apink’s Jung Eun Ji, NMIXX’s Lily, and Urban Zakapa’s Kwon Soon Il—all of whom gained praise for their own “Golden” covers.

In her version, An Yujin added a fresh and emotional tone, highlighting her unique vocal color. Known for its tricky high notes and layered melodies, “Golden” isn’t easy to pull off—but Yujin handled it with grace and power.
Her video quickly shot to #1 on YouTube’s trending videos in Korea and racked up over 2.85 million views in just four days.
Fans from Korea and around the world praised her performance, commenting on her clear vocals and how well she made the song her own.

But not everyone was fully satisfied.
Some netizens pointed out that the audio in the video seemed heavily edited. Comments like, “She’s really good, but I want to hear the unedited version,” and “Her live vocals actually have more emotion than studio versions,” started popping up online.
While they agreed that Yujin did an amazing job, many said they were hoping for a raw, live version to fully feel her vocal depth.
Still, An Yujin’s “Golden” cover continues to make waves online, and fans are now hoping a live performance will be next.
