Actress and former After School member Lee Joo Yeon is making headlines after revealing her bold and honest thoughts on dating — and fans can’t stop talking about it!
On the July 22 episode of SBS variety show Shoe Off, Dolsing Four Men, Lee Joo Yeon joined guests Choi Jin Hyuk, Park Ki Ryang, and Shin Gyu Jin for some fun and open conversations.
During the episode, the topic of dating came up — and Lee Joo Yeon didn’t hold back.
She revealed,
“The first thing I think is, ‘Can I kiss this person?’”
She continued,
“Kissing is kind of number one for me.”
Her surprisingly straightforward answer had both the hosts and viewers stunned, as she explained that for her, kissing is a major factor when it comes to starting a relationship.
Lee Joo Yeon also opened up about a past romance that didn’t work out because of — you guessed it — a kiss mismatch.
“There was someone I liked. He had a lot of good traits, so we decided to date. But the kisses just didn’t match,” she said.
“It didn’t work at all.”
As she started to explain further, actor Choi Jin Hyuk playfully interrupted her, saying,
“You should stop there,”
which caused laughter in the studio.
The topic gained even more attention because Lee Joo Yeon has been linked to BIGBANG’s G-Dragon multiple times over the years.
Since 2017, she and G-Dragon have been involved in dating rumors six times, including “accidentally” posting photos together and later deleting them — leading to accusations of creating self-made dating rumors. While some fans remained curious, others expressed frustration over the ongoing speculation.
In June 2025, Galaxy Corporation, G-Dragon’s agency, officially put the rumors to rest, stating:
“The dating rumors involving Lee Joo Yeon are not true.”
Still, Lee Joo Yeon’s candid comments on love and relationships continue to spark conversations online — especially with her past dating rumors still fresh in fans’ minds.
