Singer-songwriter Jukjae and former announcer-turned-broadcaster Heo Song Yeon are officially getting married!
According to reports on July 22, the couple will be holding a private wedding ceremony this coming October at an undisclosed location. Only close family and friends will be attending the special day.
Jukjae (real name Jung Jae Won, 36) and Heo Song Yeon (33) have been in a loving and serious relationship. After spending meaningful time together, they decided to take the next step based on deep trust and love. The two were even spotted recently enjoying a wedding dress tour, showing their excitement as the big day approaches.
As news of the wedding spread, the couple has quietly shared the happy update with close friends, receiving warm congratulations. However, they’ve chosen to keep the exact date and details private as they continue to prepare quietly.
Jukjae personally shared the news with fans on July 1 through his official channel. He said,
“I’ve met someone I want to spend my life with. She’s a precious person who accepts me just as I am and truly understands me.”
He added,
“Though I’m nervous and unsure, I’m also very thankful. I would appreciate your warm support as I begin this new chapter. I’ll continue to do my best to share good music and performances with you.”
Both of their agencies have confirmed the marriage plans. A representative from Tn Entertainment, Heo Song Yeon’s agency, stated,
“It’s true that the two are planning to get married this year, but we haven’t been told the exact date yet.”
Abyss Company, Jukjae’s agency, also confirmed the news, saying,
“Yes, Jukjae and Heo Song Yeon are getting married.”
Jukjae is a well-known name in the Korean music industry. He studied Practical Music at the Seoul Institute of the Arts and made a name for himself as a guitarist and arranger for top artists like IU, Taeyeon, Jung Eun Ji, Younha, and AKMU. He officially debuted as a solo artist in 2014 with his full-length album A Word, and has since released multiple albums including FINE, 2006, The LIGHTS, and Cliché.
He’s especially known and loved for songs like “Let’s Go See the Stars” and “Will You Walk With Me.”
Fans will get the chance to see him live this summer as he holds a seven-day small theater concert at Sogang University’s Mary Hall Grand Theater in Seoul. The shows will run from August 8 to 10 and August 14 to 17.
Meanwhile, Heo Song Yeon is also known as the older sister of Kara member Heo Young Ji. The sisters have made joint appearances on variety shows like “The Dining Out Day” and “Mom, I’m Home”, and also run a YouTube channel together called “Heo Sisters.”
