On July 18, Song Joong Ki shared stunning new photos on his social media, celebrating his role as a global ambassador for The Open Championship hosted by R&A. Along with the post, he wrote:
“Ahead of the 153rd Open Championship, it was a meaningful time to visit the iconic Royal Portrush. Meeting with the Global Golf Development Ambassadors, who work to grow golf around the world, made it even more special.”
In the pictures, Song Joong Ki looks completely at home on the golf course, showing off a smooth and powerful swing that made fans do a double take.
His posture and style looked just like a pro, drawing admiration from fans all over.
Back in February, he was officially named a Global Ambassador for R&A, where he supports young athletes and promotes golf for future generations through community programs.
Aside from his growing presence in the golf world, Song Joong Ki is also preparing to return to K-dramas. He’ll star in the upcoming JTBC series My Youth alongside *Chun Woo Hee.
The drama tells a touching romance story about Sun Woo Hae, who begins living a “normal” life later than most, and Sung Je Yeon, who must shake up her first love’s peaceful life in order to reach her dreams.
My Youth is set to premiere later this year. Fans can’t wait to see him shine both on the screen and possibly… on the golf course too?
