Park Bo Gum and Kim So Hyun’s new drama Good Boy is making waves not just in Korea, but across the globe!
On July 14, production company SLL announced that Good Boy, JTBC’s latest weekend drama, made it into the TOP 10 drama list on Amazon Prime Video U.S., proving its rising global fame.
According to data from OTT ranking site FlixPatrol, Good Boy ranked No. 9 in the U.S. Amazon Prime Video drama category as of July 9. It’s the only non-American drama to crack the U.S. Top 10 list, showing just how much international viewers are loving the mix of emotional storytelling and thrilling action.
Globally, the drama is also sitting strong at No. 3 on Prime Video’s worldwide drama chart. Viewers are praising Good Boy for blending comedy, social commentary, and action all in one.

Critics and fans alike have called it a “captivating work” that moves smoothly through different genres. The action scenes in particular are getting love for being more than just flashy moves—they highlight each character’s backstory in powerful ways.
Meanwhile, SLL’s global label wiip is also finding success with The Summer I Turned Pretty Seasons 1 and 2, which are now climbing the charts again ahead of Season 3’s release on July 16. The show is currently holding No. 5 and No. 6 spots on both U.S. and global drama Top 10 charts—right next to Good Boy.
A representative from SLL shared, “Good Boy tells a powerful story about heroes standing up against social injustice. It’s meaningful that it entered the Top 10 in the U.S., where local content usually dominates. We plan to continue expanding into the American market with more projects from wiip.”
With its rising popularity, Good Boy just might be the next big K-drama hit overseas!
