LE SSERAFIM is on fire in Japan! The girl group — made up of Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, and Hong Eunchae — has officially earned yet another Gold Disc certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).
On July 10, the RIAJ announced that LE SSERAFIM’s 4th Japanese single “DIFFERENT,” which dropped on June 24, was certified Gold after shipping over 100,000 copies in just one week.
This marks the group’s fifth RIAJ certification in 2025 alone — and fans can’t stop cheering them on.
In Japan, RIAJ awards Gold Disc certifications based on the number of physical shipments:
- Gold: over 100,000 copies
- Platinum: over 250,000
- Double Platinum: over 500,000
- Triple Platinum: over 750,000
- Million: over 1,000,000
Starting from their Japanese debut single “FEARLESS,” every single they’ve released in Japan has hit at least Gold or higher, including Platinum and Double Platinum levels — proving just how popular they’ve become.
Their Korean albums are also showing strong results in Japan. Their 5th Korean mini album “HOT,” released this past March, was certified Gold the same month — making it their 4th Korean album in a row to cross the 100,000 shipment mark in Japan. That’s an unmatched record among 4th-gen girl groups!
It’s not just album sales either — their streaming numbers are equally impressive. As of May, their 2nd mini album’s title track “ANTIFRAGILE” surpassed 200 million streams, earning a Double Platinum certification. Meanwhile, their hit track “CRAZY” (Gold-certified in January) and fan-favorite B-side “Smart” (Gold-certified in April) are also part of this year’s winning streak.
And they’re not slowing down any time soon!
LE SSERAFIM is set to launch their 2025 LE SSERAFIM TOUR ‘EASY CRAZY HOT’ IN ASIA starting July 19 in Taipei. From July to August, they’ll visit fans in Taipei, Hong Kong, Manila, Bangkok, and Singapore before heading to North America in September. Then, in November, the group will hold their first-ever encore concert at the Tokyo Dome, a major milestone since debut.
With powerful music, chart records, and global stages ahead, LE SSERAFIM continues proving why they’re one of K-pop’s strongest girl groups right now.
