Nana confesses she chased Suzy backstage just to say she was pretty

Actress Nana just proved that even top stars can have fangirl moments — and her story about Suzy is making everyone smile.

On the July 8 episode of the YouTube variety show Salon Drip 2, Nana joined host Jang Do Yeon for a fun and honest conversation. From her fashion choices to her idol past, Nana didn’t hold back — but it was her sweet confession about Suzy that stole the spotlight.

“I saw Suzy on the monitor during the awards show,” Nana shared. “She looked so pretty that I literally followed her to the waiting room just to tell her she was beautiful.” Her unexpected honesty and bold move had the host — and viewers — cracking up.

Nana also addressed her own viral fashion moment at the same awards show. “I wanted to wear an oversized men’s suit, but the brand I asked couldn’t sponsor it,” she laughed. “So I ended up wearing something completely different from what I planned.” Jang Do Yeon responded, shocked, “You’re Nana! I didn’t expect even you to face those limits.”

She also got real about her fashion philosophy, saying, “Fashion is saying yes when everyone else says no. That’s my style.”

As the interview went on, Nana reflected on her idol days — and didn’t sugarcoat anything. “Honestly, Orange Caramel just wasn’t my style. I didn’t even like the name. I wanted to run away,” she admitted, referring to the quirky After School subunit she was part of. “But once I let go and started to enjoy it, that was actually my peak,” she added, making the audience burst into laughter.

She even revealed that she took the lead when Orange Caramel songs started trending again on TikTok. “I sent the DMs myself and arranged the challenge shoot,” she said proudly. “My company only found out after the article came out!”

While Nana is known for her powerful stage presence and intense acting roles — including her transformation in Netflix’s Mask Girl — fans now love her even more for showing her fun, humble, and totally relatable side.

Meanwhile, Nana is already gearing up for her next big project — the 2026 drama Scandal (working title), where she’ll star alongside Son Ye Jin and Ji Chang Wook. With her honesty and charm, it’s clear Nana’s star power is only getting brighter.
