H1-KEY is gaining attention again with their newest comeback, and this time, they're doing it even faster.
The girl group — made up of Seo I, Riina, Hwiseo, and Yel — dropped their 4th mini album “Lovestruck” on June 26, and the response has been strong. Their title track “It Was Summer” officially entered the Melon Top 100 at #94 by 8 a.m. on July 3, just a week after its release.
Not only that, the song also ranked across other major Korean music charts:
- #50 on Genie
- #32 on Bugs
- #64 on FLO
- #30 on Vibe
Earlier, “It Was Summer” had already made waves by climbing to #12 on the Melon HOT 100 shortly after release. The track continued to rise and finally broke into the Melon main chart’s Top 100, showing stronger momentum than the group’s previous hit, “Rose Blooming Between Buildings” — also known by fans as “Geon Sa Pi Jang.”
Fans are watching closely to see if H1-KEY can break their own record with this summer release.
Their album “Lovestruck” is also doing well overseas. It charted on iTunes album rankings in 3 countries and made it onto Japan’s K-pop chart, with several tracks gaining attention. H1-KEY also appeared on Apple Music’s global charts in 2 countries, proving their growing global fanbase.
“Lovestruck” marks the group’s return in about a year, following their 3rd mini album “Love or Hate” from June last year. This comeback features more diverse music and highlights H1 KEY’s expanding style and creativity.
With a bright, summery vibe and improved stage presence, H1-KEY’s performances are turning heads. Their music show appearances are gaining praise for both vocals and visuals, and fans are even returning to stream older songs like “Rose Blooming Between Buildings” and “Let It Burn.”
After winning over fans and critics with “Rose Blooming Between Buildings,” H1-KEY is proving once again that they’re not a one-hit wonder. “It Was Summer” shows their continued digital power and growth as a rising girl group. Many are now calling them “a group you can trust and listen to,” thanks to their strong concept work and performance skills.
Meanwhile, H1-KEY plans to continue promotions through music shows and various content both online and offline.
