Jo Hye Jung is officially making her long-awaited drama comeback — and she’s teaming up with Kim Go Eun in Yumi’s Cells Season 3!

On June 30, her agency BH Entertainment confirmed, “Jo Hye Jung will appear in Yumi’s Cells Season 3.”

The hit TVING original series follows the sweet and relatable story of Yumi (played by Kim Go Eun), who returns this season as a successful writer, along with her cute and hilarious inner “cells” who still only care about her love life and happiness.

Based on the popular Naver webtoon by Lee Dong Geon, the show blends romance and comedy with creative animation.

Jo Hye Jung will take on the role of Na Hee, the youngest writer in Yumi’s team. She looks up to Yumi and follows her around with admiration. According to reports, Jo Hye Jung won the role through an audition, showing her dedication and passion.

This marks Jo Hye Jung’s return to K-dramas after three years, with her last appearance in the 2022 tvN series Our Blues.

Jo Hye Jung first gained public attention in 2015 when she appeared alongside her father, veteran actor Jo Jae Hyun, on the SBS variety show Take Care of My Dad. She later stepped back from the spotlight following her father’s involvement in a #MeToo controversy.

However, she’s been slowly returning to the scene. Just last month, Jo Hye Jung attended the 8th Cannes International Series Festival with the project Fasting Love, drawing attention for her graceful presence on the international stage.

Fans are now excited to see her back in action, especially alongside beloved actress Kim Go Eun in one of Korea’s most unique and heartwarming romance dramas.
