Lee Hyori is making moves for her next album—and she’s got G-Dragon in mind.
On June 28, the YouTube channel Ttung Ttung released a new episode of We Just Happen to Eat Together, featuring the iconic singer Lee Hyori as a guest.
During the show, she was asked what she usually does during her downtime. She answered honestly,
“I DM people I want to meet and go see them.”
She explained that she’s been actively reaching out to artists to ask for musical advice, adding,
“I’ve gained a lot of confidence thanks to the kind words I’ve heard.”
One of those people? G-Dragon.
Lee Hyo Ri revealed,
“I also messaged G Dragon to meet up, but we couldn’t meet. I’m planning to try again.”
She added,
“He did read it and even replied. I wanted to do something together for this album. I’ve never worked with him before, so I really want to try.”
She also shared that she felt a deep connection after watching him on You Quiz on the Block:
“The way he thinks and talks felt just like me. We’re different, of course, but we also have a lot in common—especially the life of a top star. Even when you have everything, it can still feel empty.”
She added thoughtfully,
“I guess that kind of emptiness doesn’t really need a reason.”
