Dex feels left out as Lim Ji Yeon and Lee Jae Wook steal the spotlight, jokes: “There’s no place for me anymore” - Here's Why

On the latest episode of tvN’s Unnie’s Wild Market 2, Dex found himself hilariously third-wheeling as Lim Ji Yeon and Lee Jae Wook took the spotlight—and the attention of the older cast members.

The episode, which aired on June 29, showed Dex greeting Yum Jung Ah, Park Joon Myeon, Lim Ji Yeon, and Lee Jae Wook on set. It was his first time seeing Lim Ji Yeon again after her guest appearance on his YouTube channel last year, and the reunion was… awkward.

Lim Ji Yeon broke the silence by looking straight ahead and saying,

“Jin Young ah,”
to which Dex politely responded,
“Noona.”
Lee Jae Wook couldn’t help but laugh, commenting,
“Wow, this is so awkward.”

Trying to lighten the mood, Dex said,

“Where have you been? I missed you,”
and even turned to Yum Jung Ah for backup:
“Noona, can you sit here for a bit?”
Yum Jung Ah teased back,
“Weren’t you two close back then?”
Lim Ji Yeon answered,
“I thought we were,”
and Dex added,
“Same here, but when I saw her at the Baeksang Awards, it felt like we were strangers.”

When the cast asked Dex why he even went to the Baeksang Awards, he explained,

“I was nominated in the variety category.”
Yum Jung Ah cheekily responded,
“Of course you were—it’s not like you went for acting,”
making everyone burst into laughter.

As the attention shifted more and more toward Lee Jae Wook, Dex jokingly complained,

“Jae Wook is doing so well. Noona doesn’t even look at me anymore,”
and sighed,
“It feels like I came back home from the army and a new family member moved in. There’s no place for me anymore.”

Viewers found Dex’s playful jealousy and self-deprecating humor relatable and hilarious, once again proving why he’s become a variety show favorite.
