Singer Jung Dong Won is showing his sweet and soft side again—this time by giving his beloved pet dog a spa-like bath in a jacuzzi inside his 2 billion won home!
On June 26, Jung Dong Won uploaded a video to his YouTube channel “Jung Dong Won (JD1)” titled “ep08. Bathing my dog in a jacuzzi?! (feat. Dong Won House).” The episode quickly gained attention for how carefully and lovingly he took care of his dog, Bear.
At the start of the video, Dong Won affectionately held Bear and said,
“My princess smelled like ‘kkossunnnae’ earlier,” describing that warm, roasted scent dogs sometimes get.
He added, “It smells kinda good, but right now she’s too dirty. She doesn’t want to bathe, but she needs it. She’s actually a really pretty girl,” as he gently carried her to the bathroom.
In the video, fans got a glimpse of his high-end bathroom, complete with a jacuzzi already filled with warm water.
“Since Bear is small, I go in with her, sit down, and wash her like this,” he said while stepping into the water.
When the crew commented, “That’s a unique way to give a bath,” Jung Dong Won explained,
“It helps her feel safe when I’m holding her,” comparing it to taking care of a baby. Bear, scared of water, looked calm in his arms thanks to his soft approach.
He shared more, saying, “I always bathe them like this. When I bathe Teddy, who’s bigger, I raise the water higher. I even shower with him, and I get soaked.”
The whole time, Jung Dong Won carefully cleaned every part of Bear, making sure she felt comfortable. One staff member commented,
“I’ve never seen someone bathe a dog this delicately,” and Jung Dong Won replied,
“If I leave them alone, they get too scared and start shaking. That’s why I always do it this way.”
After the bath, Bear ran around the house soaking wet, leaving puddles everywhere and turning the hallway into a mess. But Jung Dong Won stayed patient, drying Bear’s fur and cleaning everything up.
Reflecting on the moment, he said,
“Doing things like this makes me think about how hard it must’ve been for my grandparents and parents in the past.”
He finished the day by cleaning the jacuzzi and brushing Bear’s fur—proving once again he’s got a heart as big as his talent.
