Lee Hyori says she learned Jennie’s dance during her break to keep up with younger idols

K-pop queen Lee Hyori is keeping it real once again — and this time, she’s opening up about her fears of keeping up with the next generation.

On June 21, a new teaser for Pinggyego was dropped on the YouTube channel Ddeun Ddeun, featuring a surprise appearance from none other than Lee Hyori herself.

As the teaser begins, Yoo Jae Suk excitedly announces, “A superstar is here today!” while welcoming the special guest with Yang Se Chan. He also revealed, “All three of us are from the same agency. But apparently, this guest has never met Se Chan before.”

That’s when Lee Hyo Ri’s voice playfully came in as she joked with Yang Se Chan, “We’re in the same company, but why does it feel so awkward between us?” The light moment instantly brought laughter to the set.

But what really caught fans’ attention was when Lee Hyo Ri opened up about what she’s been doing lately. “I even went to learn Jennie’s dance while I was on break,” she confessed. “I felt like I might fall behind if I didn’t.”

Yang Se Chan asked if she meant the choreography for “Like Jennie,” and Hyo Ri let out a dramatic sigh, replying, “Life is just one big stretch of tension,” sending everyone into another round of laughter.

She also revealed that even in her dreams, she feels this pressure. “I’m always being chased or falling from somewhere, just like (Jo) Se Ho,” she said. “Life is a nonstop state of tension.”

Lee Hyo Ri’s honest words struck a chord with fans, many of whom praised her for always staying humble despite her legendary status in K-pop. Even after years in the industry, she’s still working hard — and learning dances from the new-gen stars like BLACKPINK’s Jennie to stay sharp.

Fans can catch more of her unfiltered moments when the full Pinggyego episode drops soon.
