Actor Go Kyung Pyo recently opened up about his fast weight loss and the funny situation that came with it.
On June 9, Go Kyung Pyo shared a new video on the Greenroom Studio YouTube channel through his content series Cheerful Mr. Kyung Pyo. In the video titled "Go Kyung Pyo who succeeded in dieting recommends a soba restaurant tastier than ones in Japan", the actor shared stories from his recent 4-day trip to Japan — including a funny moment that had fans laughing.
“I just got back from Japan yesterday,” he said. “I even borrowed a camera from the production team to shoot YouTube videos. On the first day, I was super excited to film, but the people I went with got shy when the camera was on. So we talked about boring stuff while filming. But when the camera was off, all the funny moments happened!”
He then shared an unexpected story. “There was a fun park near Fukuoka Tower with slides and a zipline,” he said. “But you couldn’t ride if you weighed over 89kg because the line might snap. I had just finished a diet, so I thought I was fine. But when I stepped on the scale... I was 91kg. I couldn’t ride it.”
Go Kyung Pyo added, “It was kind of funny, but the older guys I traveled with were really disappointed. Now they’ll tease me about this forever. But the good news is, when I weighed myself again today, I was 86kg. I lost 5kg!”
He explained that the weight loss happened quickly. “I walked about 20,000 steps a day, and I took diet supplements too. Japanese food is salty, so I was worried about my blood sugar going up.”
Talking more about the pills, he said, “If you take three pills within 15 minutes after eating, you don’t feel as bloated or dizzy. I hope people can try it and see the difference.”
Fans were surprised to hear about his fast results and praised his honesty. Many also laughed at his failed zipline moment, calling it “relatable and real.”
Meanwhile, Go Kyung Pyo continues to connect with fans through his fun YouTube content, giving them a more personal look at his life off-screen.
