Jo Yu Ri is ready to show a whole new side of herself in the upcoming Squid Game Season 3!
On June 9, the cast and crew of Squid Game 3 gathered at a press conference held at Dragon City in Yongsan, Seoul. Director Hwang Dong Hyuk, along with stars Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Im Si Wan, Kang Ha Neul, Wi Ha Joon, Park Gyu Young, Lee Jin Wook, Park Sung Hoon, Yang Dong Geun, Kang Ae Shim, Jo Yu Ri, Chae Gook Hee, Lee Da Wit, and Noh Jae Won, were all in attendance.
The third season of Netflix’s global hit will follow 'Gi Hun' as he returns to the deadly game with a personal mission—but this time, he ends up facing new heartbreak after losing someone close.

The story also follows the 'Front Man' who sneaks back into the game in secret, and dives deeper into the lives of the survivors from previous seasons. Season 2 ended with a major cliffhanger and broke viewership records in the U.S., making Season 3 one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
During the event, the cast talked about their roles while looking at official still cuts from the drama. Jo Yu Ri, who plays the character Joon Hee, revealed that her role was physically and emotionally demanding.
She shared, “My character Joon Hee is pregnant, so it was physically tough during filming. But I’ll show strong willpower through her, so please look forward to it.”
Director Hwang also gave insight into the deeper meaning of the series. When asked if he wanted to send a specific message through Squid Game, he explained, “I didn’t want to give a message, but rather ask a question. In a society full of extreme competition and desire, can we build a better world? A sustainable future for our children?”
Squid Game 3 is set to premiere on Netflix on June 27. Get ready for more shocking games, emotional twists, and unforgettable moments!
