Girls' Generation's Seohyun opened up about her health and daily life during a fun and heartfelt chat on Tiffany’s YouTube show “Talk Face to Face” on June 4.
In the episode, the two close friends and former TaeTiSeo unit members talked about their time together. Tiffany warmly called Seohyun “my Barbie girl” and joked, “Why was she in TaeTiSeo? I told Taeyeon, ‘You’re not 170 cm tall. I need Seohyun.’” She added that Seohyun brought perfect balance to their styling because of her height.
Seohyun shared some behind-the-scenes stories, saying, “Back then, I didn’t feel comfortable wearing revealing clothes. But Tiffany told me, ‘You have to wear this. Taeyeon and I can’t.’”
Tiffany laughed and explained that she and Taeyeon are about the same height and often styled their clothes similarly, so Seohyun got the outfits they couldn’t wear. “Even if she didn’t understand it then, those outfits looked the best on Seohyun,” Tiffany said.
Later in the video, Seohyun gave viewers a peek into her bag, surprising fans by pulling out a Birkin bag from H brand — a luxury item her mom recently passed down to her. “My mom said it was too heavy for her to carry, so she gave it to me,” Seohyun explained. She showed items inside, including a hat and sunglasses.
The actress also revealed she only recently started drinking coffee, saying, “I wonder how I survived 20 years without it. I finally get why people love it so much.”
Among her unique items was a massage gun and a finger roller. Seohyun explained that her fingers had become swollen and painful from playing the piano too much, leading to arthritis. “My joints got too thick — rings wouldn’t fit anymore,” she said. “All ten fingers were swollen. I had arthritis from playing for too long. My hands felt hot, swollen, and painful, but using these tools helped a lot.”
Fans were surprised and touched by Seohyun’s honest confession and impressed by how she takes care of her health. Despite her struggles, she continues to charm fans with her elegance, talent, and strong spirit.
