Kim Jae Joong shared a surprising story about paparazzi trying to threaten him over photos taken while he was out drinking with Japanese singer Mika Nakashima.
On May 29, a new video was uploaded to the Jae Friend YouTube channel, where the two stars talked about their long friendship and a past incident involving the media.
Mika Nakashima shared, “We first met on a music show. It’s been over ten years since we started hanging out and grabbing drinks.”
Kim Jae Joong added, “We’ve known each other for more than ten years, but we didn’t meet in private that often until more recently.”
She also playfully called out Jae Joong’s messaging habits. “He sends the sweetest messages, but I think he just sees me like a friendly neighborhood lady,” she said with a laugh.
“Who video calls a woman at 10 p.m. and says, ‘What are you doing?’” Jae Joong responded, “I only do that because we’re such good friends.”
She also mentioned that he often invites her to drinking gatherings. Kim Jae Joong said, “Sometimes I’m drinking with my staff after work, and if I feel like seeing Mika, I message her and say, ‘Want to join us?’ I didn’t expect her to say yes, but when she came, it made me want to see her more often.”
Then Kim Jae Joong shared a story from years ago that left fans stunned. He said, “One time after filming, Mika and I went to a bar for drinks. We stayed there until 5 a.m., and as we were leaving, we were followed by paparazzi.”
He continued, “They took pictures of us and later contacted us saying, ‘We have your photos. Do a paid shoot with us, or we’ll release them.’ But we told them, ‘Go ahead and release them. Take more if you want.’ We didn’t care at all.”
