BLACKPINK's Jennie is being praised for her generous heart after making a major donation to help the future of medicine in South Korea.
On May 30, the Seoul National University College of Medicine shared some heartwarming news. They revealed,
“Jennie donated 100 million won (about 73,000 USD) to support the growth of warm-hearted individuals who want to heal the world. Her donation will help improve our development fund.”
With Jennie’s contribution, the university plans to upgrade its education and research facilities. They’ll also focus on training students with empathy and strong social awareness — values that go beyond just medical skills.
Kim Jeong Eun, the Dean of the college, expressed deep gratitude, saying,
“Jennie’s donation isn’t just financial support — it’s a meaningful message. We will do our best to raise future medical leaders who show care, understanding, and communication. Her values match what society hopes to see in us.”
This isn’t the first time Jennie has supported the school. Back in 2023, her label OA Entertainment (ODDATELIER) also donated 100 million won to the same college, showing her ongoing care for the next generation of doctors.
Meanwhile, Jennie officially began her solo journey in 2023 by launching her own label, ODDATELIER, and releasing her solo album ‘Ruby’, which received global praise for its unique sound and artistic vision.
Fans are loving this side of Jennie, with many commenting, “She’s not just a star — she’s changing lives,” and “This is what real influence looks like.”
