On May 27, beloved veteran actor Choi Jung Woo sadly passed away at the age of 69.

His agency, Bless ENT, shared the heartbreaking news with Newsen, saying, Choi Jung Woo passed away today.” The exact cause of death has not been revealed, leaving fans and colleagues in shock.

His funeral will be held at Gimpo Woori Hospital Funeral Hall in Gyeonggi Province. The funeral ceremony is scheduled for May 29 at 10 AM, and he will be laid to rest at Suwon Yeonhwa Cemetery.

Choi Jung Woo was born in 1968 and had a long and respected acting career. He was known for his roles in popular dramas like The Painter of the Wind, Prosecutor Princess, Queen of Reversals, 49 Days, City Hunter, My Daughter Seo Young, The Master's Sun, Doctor Stranger, The Legend of the Blue Sea and more.

Most recently, fans recognized him for his memorable performances in JTBC’s The Tale of Lady Ok and KBS2’s Suspicious Girl, showing his continued dedication to acting until the very end.
