Actors Cha Tae Hyun and Jo In Sung may be big names in the Korean entertainment world, but they’re keeping things simple when it comes to running their new agency.

On the May 27 episode of the web variety show Salon Drip 2, Cha Tae Hyun appeared as a guest alongside Kim Jong Min and Lee Joon. During the show, he opened up about how he and Jo In Sung started their own agency together.

Cha Tae Hyun said, “We used to talk about it a lot. As we got older, we realized that when our contracts ended, we wouldn’t really have a place to go."

He added, "We thought about just working solo, but then we figured—if we’re going to work alone, why not do it together?”

He continued, “When In Sung’s contract ended, we got serious about it and decided to make a company.”

The two stars ended up launching Base Camp Company, with the agency name coming straight from Jo In Sung himself. “In Sung came up with the name,” Cha Tae Hyun shared proudly.

But even though they’re officially CEOs, things are still humble. When host Jang Do Yeon asked if their company has a CEO office, Cha Tae Hyun laughed and said, “We don’t have one yet. We’re using a shared office space. I’ll let you know when we finally get our own.”

Fans were amused by the down-to-earth start of their business, showing that even A-list celebrities take small steps when starting something new.
