YG Entertainment’s biggest stars are back in action, and fans have a lot to be excited about!
On May 26, YG founder and general producer Yang Hyun Suk made a surprise announcement through a video posted on YG’s official YouTube channel.
In the video, he shared major updates about the label’s artists — including BLACKPINK, BabyMonster, and TREASURE — and even teased the debut of a new girl group.
The biggest news? BLACKPINK is finally making their long-awaited comeback with a new song sometime this year!

While the exact release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, Yang Hyun Suk said, “We’ll be able to share news about their new song soon,” raising excitement among fans who’ve been waiting patiently.
Meanwhile, BabyMonster is heating up summer with a new song called “Hot Sauce”, set to drop on July 1. Yang described it as “a simple and cheerful song” that will make fans say, “This is fun! It’s exciting! It’s so catchy!” The track is meant to be a summer treat, perfect for enjoying the season with good vibes.
The rookies won’t stop there — BabyMonster will release their first mini album with a total of four songs on October 1.

TREASURE is also making big moves! They’ll drop a mini album on September 1, followed by a world tour starting in October.
Yang shared that he recently spoke with all the members and promised to release at least two albums a year, both mini and full, to stay active and connect more with fans.
That’s not all — YG is preparing a new boy group, and possibly more. Yang revealed that two male trainee teams are being closely monitored, one with an average age of 18 and the other around 15–16.
He hinted that one of these teams could debut next year, as it’s time for a new male group following BabyMonster’s debut last year.

In another exciting update, a new 4-member girl group is already in the works! Their training process will be revealed to the public soon, and each member is expected to release their own solo song next year.
Yang also addressed fans’ concerns about YG’s slow album release schedules. He explained that the company has been restructuring its internal systems to improve things. “
From the second half of this year, you’ll see the results of these changes,” he promised, also adding that YG is working on securing more IPs to support their artists and projects.
With BLACKPINK’s return, BabyMonster’s rise, TREASURE’s global plans, and a brand-new girl group on the way, YG Entertainment is set to dominate the second half of 2025!
