BTS member Jin recently shared a sweet and unforgettable story involving Hollywood star Tom Cruise—and it even included a heartwarming moment with his mom!

On May 17, Jin appeared as a guest on SBS PowerFM’s Wendy’s Young Street, where he talked about his experience filming with Tom Cruise for an upcoming episode of his web variety show Run Seok Jin.

One listener asked if he could give a little spoiler about the episode. Jin shyly replied, “I want to say something, but I’m worried people might expect too much."

He continued, "I didn’t do anything huge or fancy with Tom Cruise hyung. If your expectations are high, you might watch and say, ‘That’s it?’ so I’m a bit concerned.”

He added with a laugh, “But we did talk, and as a little TMI, I even gave him a dinner recommendation.”

Jin revealed how the collaboration with Tom Cruise came to be, saying, “It’s not like we reached out to him—Tom Cruise hyung’s team actually contacted us first."

They added, "They said they wanted to be on the show, so we tried our best to make something fun that fit the situation. I even got to watch the movie before its official release. It was such a fun and amazing experience.”

But the moment that truly touched fans' hearts came when Jin shared a personal story from the day of filming. “It was Parents’ Day in Korea,” he said.

“I asked if I could take a selfie with Tom Cruise to show my mom. But he said, ‘Then just video call her.’ So I did, and my mom answered—and my grandfather, aunt, and uncle were all there too. They all got to say hello to Tom Cruise!”

It’s official—actor Kim Jae Won is joining Yumi’s Cells 3 as the male lead!

On May 19, media outlet OSEN shared that Kim Jae Won has been cast as Shin Soon Rok, the final love interest of Yumi in the upcoming season of Yumi’s Cells. The new season will once again be led by Kim Go Eun, who will return as Yumi after three years.

Yumi’s Cells Season 3 is a TVING original series based on the popular webtoon, and it follows Yumi’s emotional journey through love, growth, and healing—with the help of the tiny "cells" inside her head that represent her feelings.

In the new season, Yumi comes back as a successful writer, and her cells are still going strong, supporting her through yet another chapter in her love life.

What’s exciting this time is the appearance of Shin Soon Rok, a character that fans of the original webtoon have been waiting for. Viewers are curious to see how Kim Jae Won will bring this beloved character to life.

Kim Jae Won first entered the entertainment scene as a model in 2018 and made his acting debut in 2021.

He has appeared in dramas like Our Blues, “Stealer: The Treasure Keeper,” “King the Land,” “Hierarchy,” and most recently “The Tale of Lady Ok” and “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call.”

In “The Tale of Lady Ok,” he played Sung Do Gyeom and gained attention for his acting. In “The Trauma Code,” he showed a different side by playing Seo Dong Ju.

He’s also currently working on Netflix’s “Lady Dua” and a drama called “Eun Joong and Sang Yeon,” proving just how in-demand he is right now.
