• I-DLE’s Yuqi admits she got many offers from other companies and almost left the group

    I-DLE’s Yuqi shared honest thoughts about her contract renewal and the tough choices she faced.

    On the May 17 episode of JTBC’s Knowing Bros (Episode 482), a preview showed all the I-DLE members together, celebrating their successful contract renewals.

    The group revealed they officially changed their name from I-DLE to just I-DLE, joking, “We even held a funeral for the ‘G’ recently.”

    During the talk, Yuqi revealed, “I really got a lot of offers from other companies. To be honest, I was tempted at times.” Her honesty surprised many fans who admired her openness.

    Fellow member Shuhua added she even met with a lawyer during the process. When someone asked if she was really preparing to leave the group, Shuhua replied calmly, “Yes, really,” which made everyone laugh.

    The group officially signed a full group contract renewal with Cube Entertainment last December. Now, I-DLE is ready for a comeback on May 19 with their 8th mini album We are—exciting news for fans everywhere!

    It’s official—actor Kim Jae Won is joining Yumi’s Cells 3 as the male lead!

    On May 19, media outlet OSEN shared that Kim Jae Won has been cast as Shin Soon Rok, the final love interest of Yumi in the upcoming season of Yumi’s Cells. The new season will once again be led by Kim Go Eun, who will return as Yumi after three years.

    Yumi’s Cells Season 3 is a TVING original series based on the popular webtoon, and it follows Yumi’s emotional journey through love, growth, and healing—with the help of the tiny "cells" inside her head that represent her feelings.

    In the new season, Yumi comes back as a successful writer, and her cells are still going strong, supporting her through yet another chapter in her love life.

    What’s exciting this time is the appearance of Shin Soon Rok, a character that fans of the original webtoon have been waiting for. Viewers are curious to see how Kim Jae Won will bring this beloved character to life.

    Kim Jae Won first entered the entertainment scene as a model in 2018 and made his acting debut in 2021.

    He has appeared in dramas like Our Blues, “Stealer: The Treasure Keeper,” “King the Land,” “Hierarchy,” and most recently “The Tale of Lady Ok” and “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call.”

    In “The Tale of Lady Ok,” he played Sung Do Gyeom and gained attention for his acting. In “The Trauma Code,” he showed a different side by playing Seo Dong Ju.

    He’s also currently working on Netflix’s “Lady Dua” and a drama called “Eun Joong and Sang Yeon,” proving just how in-demand he is right now.
