Actor Go Kyung Pyo opened up about how one bold fashion moment at Cannes completely turned his career around.

On May 2, a video titled “Third Friend, Not Actor Go Kyung Pyo But Stylist Mr. Go and His Model Mr. Ong’s Anguk-dong Fashion Show” was uploaded to the YouTube channel Ongstyle’s Ongs and the City. The video featured Go Kyung Pyo hanging out with 2AM’s Im Seul Ong while showing off his own fashion styling skills.

While enjoying the day, Im Seul Ong complimented Go Kyung Pyo’s long and steady career, to which the actor replied modestly, “I’ve been taking it slow.”

Go Kyung Pyo then got honest about his recent struggles, saying, “Last year, I started a production company and tried something totally new. I didn’t have any work for a whole year, so I wasn’t earning anything. I was really worried and thinking, ‘What should I do?’”

But then, everything changed thanks to one photo taken at a workshop in Cannes — the same viral photo where he rocked a pair of eye-catching hot pants. “That one fun picture suddenly got a lot of attention. I started getting offers for commercials I never expected, even ones that weren’t about acting. It filled the gap I had from not working. I thought, ‘Wow, this is amazing,’” he shared.

He added, “That photo started something new. Now I’m appearing on variety shows regularly, and I feel like I’m becoming more approachable to the public.”

Im Seul Ong agreed, saying, “Sometimes you work so hard in one direction, but it’s the unexpected things that really make a difference. You never know, so you just have to keep trying.”

Seul Ong also praised Go Kyung Pyo’s fearless fashion, saying, “I really liked that look.” Go Kyung Pyo smiled and said, “I didn’t think it was strange at the time either. Even the French people there said it looked good, so I posted it with confidence. Then it just blew up. It was so fun seeing the reaction.”

Ahn Yujin of IVE recently shared an incredibly sweet story about giving her father a special gift, all thanks to her experiences on a variety show.

On May 2, Ahn Yujin appeared on the YouTube channel Channel Fifteen Night during a spring outing with PD Na Young Seok, which was part of the Earth Arcade variety show. During the outing, Ahn Yujin grabbed attention when she got into a Mercedes-Benz car. PD Na Young Seok made a lighthearted comment, saying, "My wife also drives a Mercedes. This one is just the chubbier version of that car."

It turns out that Ahn Yujin had recently passed her driving test and had her first driving experience on the Earth Arcade spin-off Jiraki’s Ttitti Bang Bang. In a later episode of Earth Arcade 3, she even took first place in a parking challenge, which helped boost her popularity even more.

Her driving scenes, especially in the Mercedes-Benz, grabbed the spotlight, with Na PD revealing that the car brand reached out to the show afterward.

Ahn Yujin then shared an emotional story: "My father watched that episode and said he wanted to drive the same model of car," she said. "So, I changed his car for him. A Mercedes!" Her heartfelt gesture left the other cast members amazed.
