• ZEROBASEONE’s Ricky Looks Like a ‘Dark & Sexy’ Webtoon Character in New Transformation — Fans Can’t Get Over His Mysterious New Look

ZEROBASEONE (ZB1) member Ricky has once again proven he’s the definition of a real-life webtoon character!

On January 30, Ricky appeared on YouTube channel RISABAE’s Risabae Makeup, where he took on the challenge of transforming into a mysterious and seductive webtoon male lead.

Excited about the experience, Ricky shared, “I’ve always been interested in makeup. I really wanted to try this at least once.”

With his effortlessly chic and charismatic aura, Risabae created a ‘dark yet sexy’ look inspired by mystery webtoons. Before they even started, Ricky caught a glimpse of his neatly groomed eyebrows and joked, “I think I could win over my mother-in-law with this.”

As the makeup session progressed, Ricky’s already striking visuals became even more intense with detailed shading and contouring. Risabae was completely mesmerized, saying, “You actually look even more like a webtoon character in real life.”

Meanwhile, Ricky casually sipped on a strawberry drink throughout the session, giving fans a fun contrast between his fierce look and his soft, playful side.

The conversation also turned to ZEROBASEONE’s latest pre-release track Doctor! Doctor!, which dropped on January 20 as part of their upcoming 5th mini album. Ricky couldn’t hide his excitement, saying, “The song is amazing. It’s an R&B ballad, and the cover art was made by the legendary Junji Ito. I’ve always admired his mysterious yet fatalistic drawing style, so it was an honor to have him contribute to our cover.”

Before wrapping up, Ricky shared his love for fans, saying, “I’m really glad I joined this show because I got to try a makeup concept that I normally wouldn’t, and I think ZEROSE (fandom name) will love it.”

Meanwhile, Ricky and ZEROBASEONE are gearing up for their highly anticipated comeback with their 5th mini album on February 24! Even before its full release, Doctor! Doctor! is already topping domestic charts and dominating China’s largest streaming platform, QQ Music, as well as YouTube’s trending music rankings—raising expectations for an explosive return!

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
