• BTS' Jungkook Sets Unstoppable Records with 'Seven' – First and Longest-Charting Asian Solo Artist on Spotify Global Chart for 80 Weeks

BTS member Jungkook is making history again with his chart-topping solo hit, Seven!

According to Spotify’s latest update (January 17–23), Jungkook’s solo single Seven, released in July 2023, ranked 84th on the Weekly Top Songs Global.

This achievement is extraordinary as the song has stayed on the chart for a jaw-dropping 80 weeks—making it the first and longest time an Asian solo artist’s song has ever stayed on Spotify’s global weekly chart.

Even 18 months after its release, Seven continues to climb, jumping two spots from the previous week. Jungkook’s solo debut track has already made waves by becoming the first K-pop soloist’s song to remain on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart for over 500 days.

But the success doesn’t stop there! Jungkook’s solo album, GOLDEN, also remains a strong contender on Spotify’s Weekly Top Albums Global, securing the 46th spot and marking 64 weeks on the chart. These achievements further prove Jungkook’s massive global influence and the lasting love fans have for his music.

Even while serving in the military, Jungkook ranked 146th on Spotify’s Weekly Top Artists Global chart for January 17–23, extending his streak to 87 weeks. His presence on global charts continues to showcase his unmatched impact as a solo artist.

Previously, Seven set records by staying at No. 1 on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart for 71 days—the longest for any Asian artist. It also topped the Weekly Top Songs Global chart for an impressive nine consecutive weeks in 2023, the longest run by a male artist that year.

Jungkook broke several Spotify milestones with Seven, including becoming the fastest artist to hit 100 million, 900 million, 1 billion, and even 1.1 billion streams. The song has now surpassed 2.1 billion streams, cementing its place in history as the first and fastest song by an Asian artist to reach that number.

His album GOLDEN has also shattered records, becoming the first K-pop solo album to surpass 5 billion streams on Spotify. This solidifies Jungkook’s reputation as a true global music icon.

With these achievements, Jungkook proves time and time again why he’s a force to be reckoned with in the music world. Fans can only look forward to what records he’ll break next!

  • Fans can't stop swooning over BTS's V showing off cherry blossoms and his toned muscles just 40 days before discharge

BTS's V is making his fans fall even more in love with him as he shares moments from his life just 40 days before his military discharge.

On April 30, V posted several new photos on his Instagram story, giving fans a sneak peek into his daily routine.

Among the photos was a beautiful shot of cherry blossoms, accompanied by the word "cherry blossom" as he expressed his longing for spring.

He followed up with more photos, sharing how much he wanted to enjoy the season with his fans.

To make the post even more special, V added background music from BTS member J-Hope's song Sweet Dreams and Design by the American punk band Gustav.

It turns out that Gustav was grateful for V introducing their music to the world and even received fan comments saying they discovered the band through him.

In another adorable photo, V posed with CF director Ray J. Yi (Lee Jun Yeob), with flowers in his hair. The director also shared the cute photo, adding the word "flower" to express how happy he was with the moment.

But it wasn’t all about flowers and beauty—V also gave fans a peek at his workout routine. He proudly showed off his toned arm muscles in a picture, though his face appeared a little thinner.

This is likely due to his diet, as he’s been working hard to maintain his figure ahead of his discharge. Before enlisting, V weighed 62 kg, and during his service, he reached 86 kg. Now, he’s lost 10 kg and is preparing for his return to the public eye.

Interestingly, V has been working out at the same place where singer Kim Jong Kook films his popular YouTube channel Jim Jong Kook, sparking fan excitement and hopes that V might make an appearance on the show after he’s discharged.

As soon as V shared his latest update, his name—"KIM TAEHYUNG"—shot to the top of real-time trending charts worldwide. Fans from all over the globe, including in the U.S., couldn’t get enough of the updates, proving once again the massive impact V has.

He is set to be discharged from the military on June 10, and fans are eagerly awaiting his return.
