Girls' Generation’s Seohyun proved her dedication and professionalism as she hosted the 2024 KBS Drama Awards while recovering from a leg injury sustained during filming. Despite needing a cane for support, Seohyun impressed everyone with her elegance and grace.
According to reports on January 1, Seohyun injured her leg while working on her upcoming drama and appeared at the December 31 ceremony at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, using a cane.
She hosted the event alongside Jang Sung Kyu and Moon Sang Min. Although originally scheduled to air live, the awards show was pre-recorded and postponed due to the Jeju Air tragedy.
Dressed in a stunning white gown, Seohyun dazzled fans with her beauty and poise. However, many noticed her limping or relying on a white cane as she moved around. Videos from the event showed her struggling but still smiling warmly and greeting fans with waves.
Seohyun’s agency later confirmed the situation, saying, “Seohyun sustained an injury during drama filming. She is receiving treatment and is recovering. She will resume filming soon.”
The injury reportedly happened while filming KBS2’s new drama, “I Took the Male Lead’s First Night”, where Seohyun stars opposite 2PM’s Ok Taecyeon.
The fantasy romance series tells the story of Cha Seon Chek (played by Seohyun), a minor character in a novel whose life takes a wild turn when a college student’s soul takes over her body.
Her one unexpected night with the male lead, Gyeong Seong Goon (played by Taecyeon), changes everything, disrupting the original story.
Seohyun portrays Cha Seon Chek, a privileged yet humble character who dreams of living a simple life. However, when her body becomes possessed by the college student, K, she is forced into a central role that reshapes the narrative.
Despite her injury, fans admired Seohyun’s dedication to her work and her determination to complete her duties as host. Many took to social media to wish her a speedy recovery and praise her professionalism.
