• NCT's Jaemin Donates 100 Million KRW to Help Children Worldwide, Says "This is for the Fans Who Show Me Love!"

NCT's Jaemin is warming hearts this Christmas Eve with a generous donation that proves he’s as kind as he is talented!

On December 24, the Korean Committee for UNICEF shared the exciting news: Jaemin donated 100 million KRW (around $75,000 USD) under the name of his fan club, "NCTzen DREAM." The donation aims to support children across the world who are facing tough winters due to war and natural disasters.

The funds come from the proceeds of Jaemin’s first solo photo exhibition, NARCISSISM – JAEMIN 1st EXHIBITION, which was held in June. The framed photos sold during the event not only showcased Jaemin’s artistic side but also became a way for him and his fans to give back.

This isn’t the first time Jaemin has shown his caring side. Back in 2018, he visited Vietnam to support music education programs for children in need as part of a partnership between SM Entertainment and UNICEF. For nearly a decade, SM Entertainment has been working with UNICEF to help disadvantaged children in Vietnam and the Philippines.

Jaemin’s heartfelt gesture is even more special because he made the donation under his fans’ name. He shared, “I wanted to do something meaningful with my fans to give back for their precious love. I hope this can help even a little in bringing a warm year-end to every child.”

The Secretary-General of the Korean Committee for UNICEF, Jo Mi-jin, also expressed deep gratitude, saying, “We sincerely thank Jaemin and his fans for sending a special gift to children during the year-end season. The funds will be used carefully to help children facing harsh winters caused by war, disasters, and poverty.”

Jaemin’s thoughtful donation is a beautiful example of how idols and fans can come together to make a real difference. It’s clear that NCTzens and their beloved Jaemin share not only love for music but also a desire to spread kindness around the world.

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
