Jungkook of BTS has achieved another milestone with the release of his first solo album, GOLDEN. The album has shattered records, marking the highest first-day LP sales in K-pop history.
According to the Hanteo Chart, GOLDEN (vinyl) ranked No. 1 on the daily physical album chart on November 8, with over 80,000 copies sold on its first day alone. Jungkook’s album surpassed the previous record of 61,000 copies, which was set by BTS' LOVE YOURSELF 轉 'Tear'.
Earlier, the album’s pre-sale was a huge success as it quickly sold out on major U.S. retailer Target’s website on October 2.
On the same day, GOLDEN sold out on other platforms like Music Korea, Music Plant, and topped the bestseller lists on platforms like Yes24, Aladin, and Kyobo Bookstore.

In just five hours after its release, GOLDEN achieved ‘Double Million Seller’ status, surpassing 2 million sales and setting a new record for the highest first-week sales by a K-pop solo artist.
After two weeks, the album sold a total of 2.5 million copies, making it the first solo album in 13 years to hit this impressive milestone since the Hanteo Chart system revision in 2010.
GOLDEN also made waves internationally, spending 24 consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200 chart, the longest streak for any Asian solo artist. It also charted for 8 weeks on the UK Official Top 100, marking the longest streak for any K-pop soloist.
Jungkook's GOLDEN LP continues to prove his undeniable solo power, with a growing global fanbase and record-breaking success across the world.
