BTS's Jungkook has done it again, setting a shining new record on Spotify, the biggest music streaming platform in the world!
Recently, Jungkook hit an incredible milestone by staying on the 'Global Top Artist' chart for 500 days, making him the first K-pop solo artist to achieve this feat.
Before this, Jungkook reached the 4th spot on the daily 'Global Top Artist' chart, marking the highest position for any K-pop solo artist.
Jungkook continues to shine as a solo artist with amazing achievements on Spotify. His hit single "Seven" has set numerous records, including reaching 100 million, 900 million, 1 billion, and 1.1 billion streams in record time. He is now close to hitting 2 billion streams!
Additionally, "Seven" was named the 4th "Top Track of 2023," ranking among the most streamed songs globally for the year. The song debuted at number one on Spotify's daily global chart and made history as the first song by an Asian artist to stay at the top for 71 days. It also became the first song by an Asian artist to be in the daily global chart's top 50 for 350 days.
Last year, Jungkook topped the Spotify daily global chart three times with "Seven," "3D," and "Standing Next to You." He holds the record as the first and only K-pop solo artist with 19 songs that have over 100 million streams on Spotify. Plus, he is the first Asian solo artist to have three songs with over 900 million streams.
Jungkook's first solo album, GOLDEN, made history as the first and only album by an Asian solo artist to reach 4.5 billion streams and the fastest studio album by an Asian artist to achieve that milestone.
His Spotify profile has racked up an amazing total of 7.4 billion streams, making him the fastest K-pop artist and the first K-pop solo artist to reach this milestone. Jungkook also became the first K-pop solo artist to hit 40 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
Looking ahead, Jungkook is expected to become the first K-pop solo artist to reach 3 billion streams in 2024, continuing to break records for "first" and "fastest" on Spotify!
