BTS's V continues to show his global popularity with his song "Slow Dancing" surpassing 435 million streams on Spotify. As of October 20, the song has reached an impressive 437 million streams on the platform.

"Slow Dancing" is an R&B track with a 1970s soul vibe, a unique sound in K-pop. V's smooth vocals are the highlight of the song, and the spontaneous flute solo towards the end adds to the chill and relaxed atmosphere, just like the title suggests.

When "Slow Dancing" first dropped, it debuted at No. 51 on the Billboard Hot 100, No. 2 on Digital Song Sales, No. 3 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, and No. 4 on the Global 200. The song also hit No. 1 on the UK Official Single Downloads and Single Sales charts, staying on the charts for 11 weeks.

This set a new record for K-pop solo artists.

The UK magazine TimeOut ranked V’s album Layover at No. 19 on their list of "The 30 Best Albums of 2023," describing "Slow Dancing" as a "soulful track that flows beautifully with its choreography."

Meanwhile, Billboard named Layover the second-best K-pop album of 2023, praising the bold yet charming flute solo in "Slow Dancing" as a reflection of V’s strong artistic vision.

Music critic Kim Young-dae also gave high praise, calling "Slow Dancing" a fresh and modern R&B song, blending hip-hop beats in a way that’s rare to hear, both in the U.S. and Korea.

V’s Layover album, featuring "Slow Dancing," has been a hit worldwide, with the LP version selling out repeatedly in the UK, U.S., and other countries, proving V’s strong global appeal.
