BTS's Jin has once again proven his star power, this time earning the title of "Best Culinary Genius Idol." From October 3 to 8, fans voted in a themed poll held by MY1PICK, and Jin came out on top with 3,816 votes, which made up 47% of the total. As a reward, a video ad featuring Jin will be shown for five days on a building near Gangnam Station in Seoul.
Jin is already well-known as 'Worldwide Handsome' thanks to his looks, but he’s also famous for his cooking skills. Fans have seen him in action on BTS’s shows like Run BTS and In the SOOP, where he showed off his love for cooking. He’s even cooked with professional chefs and recently made seafood dishes on It’s Lucky You Had a Break, proving he’s not just talented in music.
Jin shared his thoughts on the honor and why it feels special to him. "Cooking has always been something I enjoy doing, and it’s a way for me to relax and share something I love with fans," he said. "I’m grateful that people see me not just as an idol, but also for something I truly enjoy doing."
Jin's win adds to his growing list of achievements. He’s been at the top of MY1PICK’s K-pop Individual Category Weekly Ranking for 32 weeks in a row. In September, he had over 25 million hearts and secured first place in the monthly ranking for nine straight months. This success led to another video ad, which will be displayed on Yeouido Olympic Boulevard from October 11 to 17.
Aside from this latest win, Jin has topped themed polls in categories like "The Star Who Seems Like the Best Son," "The Star You’d Fall For at First Sight," and "The Vocalist Who Should Do Musicals." His popularity just keeps growing.
