This song also made history as the first track released in 2024 to hit No. 1 on iTunes charts in 100 countries, achieving the top spot in a total of 102 countries.
In the first half of 2024, "FRI(END)S" had the highest streaming numbers for a K-pop solo song on Spotify and made it into the top 10 longest-charting K-pop solo songs on the global Spotify chart, proving V's global appeal.
The music video for "FRI(END)S" has been loved by many, too! It reached No. 1 on the YouTube World Trends music category right after its release and held that spot for 14 days. It also became the first K-pop artist video to top Tidal's "Top Video" chart in the U.S. and ranked first in 23 countries.
The music video was nominated for "Best Pop International" at the 2024 UK Music Video Awards and was recognized as one of Billboard Philippines' "10 Best Music Videos of 2024."
