BTS’ V is still ruling the popularity polls in Japan! From August 12 to August 18, V clinched 1st place for the 177th week in a row on the idol ranking site 'Nehan' (NEHAN).
This impressive streak continues to showcase his dominance in K-pop.
During the same week, V also held the top spot for the 26th consecutive week in the 'Actor Popularity Ranking' on the Korean site 'Bihan' (BIHAN), and for 173 weeks straight in the '20s Korean Actors' category.
V’s popularity is not just limited to weekly polls. He consistently ranks 1st in real-time, weekly, monthly, and annual polls on 'K-board' for both 'K-pop Idol Flower Boy Election' and 'Korean Drama Male Actor Election,' maintaining this top position for 134 weeks.
In a poll by 'KPOP JUICE,' V received an astounding 4.95 million votes, securing 1st place across all time periods.
In Japan, where K-pop is hugely popular, V enjoys recognition on par with top Japanese celebrities. He has earned the title of "celebrity of celebrities" due to the admiration he receives from both the public and Japanese stars.
Notable Japanese figures like Yusaku Maezawa, Ryoma Takeuchi, Kyoko Koizumi, and many others have expressed their admiration for V.
Kai Ogasawara, a Japanese dancer and model, especially praised V’s unique dance style and performance, highlighting his seamless rhythm and captivating moves in the song "Slow Dancing" from V’s solo album 'Layover.'
