NewJeans Continues Strong Run on U.S. and Japanese Charts, Dominates Local Music Scene

NewJeans is proving their staying power on major U.S. Billboard charts.

As of August 13, NewJeans (Minji, Hani, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) remains a chart fixture with their double single How Sweet.

The title track holds steady at 58th on the ‘Global (excluding the U.S.)’ chart and 109th on the ‘Global 200,’ marking their 11th week on these charts.

Their Japanese debut single Supernatural and its title track have also been performing well, staying in the rankings for 7 weeks. Supernatural is at 53rd on the ‘Global (excluding the U.S.)’ chart and 100th on the ‘Global 200.’

Back home, NewJeans continues to shine on domestic charts. Supernatural has topped the Bugs weekly chart (August 5 to August 11) for 6 weeks in a row.

Meanwhile, How Sweet climbed to No. 4, and the track Bubble Gum reached No. 8, showing their strong ongoing popularity.

On Melon’s weekly chart, How Sweet remains at No. 2, with Supernatural at No. 6 and Bubble Gum at No. 10. NewJeans had a total of 10 tracks on the chart, including previous hits.

Their success extends to Japan, where they had 8 songs featured on Spotify Japan’s ‘Weekly Top Songs’ (August 2 to August 8) and 5 songs on Apple Music Japan’s ‘Top 100 of the Day.

NewJeans will connect with Japanese fans on Nihon TV’s with MUSIC on August 17 and TBS’s CDTV Live! Live! on August 19.
