UNIS' Kotoko Collapses During Performance, Currently Recovering in Hospital
UNIS' Kotoko collapsed on stage and is now recovering in the hospital.
On August 3, UNIS' agency, F&F Entertainment, shared the news: "During the '2024 Summer Night Cultural Festival: Mini K-POP Concert' in Haenam today, Kotoko fainted on stage, which caused the performance to stop."
They added, "Kotoko was quickly taken to the hospital for checks and is resting there now. We apologize for worrying fans and will ensure her health comes first."
The incident happened during UNIS's performance at the festival, leading to a halt in their set.
UNI is scheduled to return with their single album CURIOUS on August 6.
Park Bo Gum honors Suzy’s 10th Baeksang anniversary with flowers and fans are loving it
Suzy just hit a major milestone — and Park Bo Gum made sure it didn’t go unnoticed.
On May 5, the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards was held at COEX D Hall in Gangnam, Seoul, with Shin Dong Yup, Suzy, and Park Bo Gum returning as the MC trio once again. But this year wasn’t just any regular hosting gig — it marked Suzy’s 10th anniversary as the show’s MC.
Shin Dong Yup kicked off the ceremony by introducing this year’s theme, “Toward, Voyage”, and jokingly said, “We probably can’t be MCs for another 10, 20, or 30 years, but wouldn’t it be nice if we could sail all the way to the 91st Baeksang?”
Suzy added with a smile, “I’m sailing toward the hearts of all the audience members.”
But the sweetest moment came when Park Bo Gum turned to Suzy and said, “Today marks our 10th year together”, before pulling out a beautiful bouquet of flowers to celebrate her 10th year as host. The crowd loved it, and so did Suzy.
Shin Dong Yup then asked Suzy if she remembered her very first time on the Baeksang stage. She said, “Of course I do. I was really nervous because it was my first time, but I was also so happy and excited to be chosen as an MC. Now, 10 years have gone by… and it still feels special, like the first time.”
The warm memories didn’t stop there. Suzy asked Shin Dong Yup about his own first experience, and he shared, “I remember receiving an award here over 30 years ago. I think I’ve been an MC for about 15 or 16 years now.”
He added, “I might’ve looked calm on the outside, but inside, I was always nervous and trembling. But maybe that mix of nerves and excitement is what helped me keep doing this with all of you.”
The 61st Baeksang turned into a night of celebration, not just for the stars being honored — but also for the ones who’ve been guiding the stage for years.
And thanks to Park Bo Gum’s thoughtful gesture, Suzy’s 10th year felt more like a fairytale than a job.
