BTS's Jin has topped the Idolpick weekly vote, showing his immense popularity. Jin received 75,373 picks in the second week of July (July 8 - July 14), securing the first place in the male idol individual category. This was the highest number of votes across all categories.
Previously, Jin also clinched first place with 34,450 picks in the special Idolpick vote for the "idol with the most charming eye smile."
Jin has also won various polls for themes like "most anticipated idol after military discharge," "idol who looks best in a baseball cap," "idol who fits magazine covers well," "idol suited for water sports," "idol suited for ion drink commercials," "idol you'd like to spend summer vacation with," "idol whose stage fancams are highly anticipated," and "idol who fits ice cream commercials well."
Jin topped the poll for "idol who will shine in the second half of 2023," resulting in his promotional video being displayed on large LED screens at Central World Shopping Center in Bangkok, Thailand, and Myeongdong in South Korea. This highlights his strong global popularity and influence even during his military hiatus.
On July 14 (local time), Jin gained attention as a torchbearer for the "2024 Paris Summer Olympics," spreading messages of "harmony" and "peace," and drawing interest from international media.
After completing his military service on June 12, Jin met and communicated with fans at the offline "2024 BTS FESTA" event the next day. He has also finished filming for the MBC variety show "It's Good to Take a Break," was appointed as the global brand ambassador for the French high jewelry brand Fred, and is actively preparing for his solo album.
