
BTS member V's song 'Friends' continues to soar in popularity, surpassing 250 million streams on Spotify.
Released on July 15th as a digital single, 'Friends' made an impressive debut by reaching number 65 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 5 on the Global 200, and number 3 on the Billboard Global (excluding the US).
The song quickly topped the iTunes chart in 102 countries, including the Czech Republic, where it secured the top spot on July 16th. It became the first song of 2024 to achieve number one on iTunes charts in over 100 countries globally.


In the UK, 'Friends' made waves by debuting at number 13 on the Official Chart, setting a new record for the highest-ranking K-pop song released in 2024. It maintained this position for two consecutive weeks and enjoyed the longest run on the Official Single Download and Sales charts by a K-pop solo artist.
The music video for 'Friends' also received enthusiastic support, debuting at number one on the YouTube Global Music Video Chart and staying at the top for 14 consecutive days in the YouTube World Trending Music section.
On Tidal, one of the world's top music platforms, 'Friends' set records as the highest-ranking video by a K-pop artist, topping the US Tidal Top Videos chart. It also secured the number one position on the UK Tidal Top Videos chart, marking V's second consecutive chart-topper after 'Love Me Again'.
'Friends' topped the Tidal Top Videos charts in 21 countries, including Finland, Brazil, Peru, and Malaysia. It achieved significant rankings for K-pop in the US, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, and Spain on the Tidal Top Videos chart.
As of July 15th, 'Friends' continues to dominate global music charts, showcasing V's widespread appeal and success.
