BTS member Jin brought cheers to Paris.

On the 14th (local time), Jin took part in the torch relay for the '2024 Paris Summer Olympics'. This day was doubly special as it coincided with France's Bastille Day. Speaking through his agency, Big Hit Music, Jin expressed, "It's a great honor to be part of such a meaningful moment. Thanks to ARMY (fanbase), I had the wonderful role of carrying the torch. I'm deeply grateful."

He added, "I was nervous at first, but with the loud cheers from everyone there, I did my best and finished well."

Jin also shared his hopes for the Korean national team at the Olympics and expressed support for the upcoming '17th Paris Paralympics' in August. He concluded, "I'll continue to work hard and show a better side of myself in the future."

Even before Jin arrived, fans had gathered at the venue, holding banners with his name and showing their excitement. The atmosphere peaked as Jin arrived at Rivoli Street, clad in the official white torch relay uniform, illuminating Paris with his presence. Cheers erupted as he received the Olympic torch from the previous runner on a bicycle.

Jin ran through significant points in Paris, carrying the torch from Rivoli Street to Carrousel Square. At the Louvre Museum's pyramid, he passed the torch to Sandra Laoura, a former French freestyle skiing national representative. After a memorable 10-minute relay, Jin waved to the crowd, concluding his part in the event.

The torch relay for the '2024 Paris Summer Olympics' began in April in Olympia, Greece, and will cover 64 locations across France, including urban areas and beaches, leading up to the event on the 26th. Jin and other torchbearers will visit historic sites symbolizing harmony and peace.
