"Rainy Days," a song from V's first solo album "Layover," recently surpassed 260 million streams on the world's largest music platform.
"Rainy Days" is an alternative pop R&B track, known for its beautiful blend of vintage and unique percussion sounds with modern drum beats, highlighting V's clear and straightforward vocals.
The American music magazine Rolling Stone stated, "V showcased his skills brilliantly in 'Rainy Days,' with its old-school sound. He discovered a refined depth in his sweet, baritone voice, singing softly to the melancholic piano melody and laid-back beat, evoking the feeling of walking on clouds."

The magazine continued, "As a result, the song is undeniably perfect for listening to on a rainy day with an umbrella, offering a new kind of musical experience and the pleasure of a serene storm."
Rolling Stone also praised V's vocals, placing "Rainy Days" at 58th on their "Best Songs of 2023" list, ranking it 4th among all K-pop songs and the highest among K-pop solo tracks.
According to chart data, V's first solo album "Layover" has sold over 100,000 units in the U.S. as of June 1st, marking a historic achievement as the first Asian solo artist to do so.
Additionally, it set two new records as the first K-pop solo artist whose entire album surpassed 100 million streams. Currently, "Layover" has reached the number one spot on the iTunes album charts in 103 countries.
