Upon its release, 'wherever u r' topped the 'Worldwide iTunes Song' chart and the 'European iTunes Song' chart. It also debuted at number one on Japan's Oricon 'Daily Digital Single' chart. The song has reached number one on the 'iTunes Top Song' chart in 100 countries.
'wherever u r' also claimed the top spot on the 'R&B Digital Song Sales' chart and debuted at number two on the 'R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales' chart.

The song revolves around the theme of love for someone far away. The combination of a comfortable and lively background track with V's soft and charming vocals creates a warm atmosphere.
