BTS Jungkook Makes History as First K-Pop Solo Artist to Stay on Spotify’s Global Chart for 500 Days
BTS's Jungkook has just made a groundbreaking achievement in the world of music! His solo track Seven has officially become the first-ever K-pop solo song to stay on Spotify’s global chart for an impressive 500 days.
As announced by World Music Awards (WMA), known as the “Billboard of Europe,” Jungkook’s Seven, released in July of last year, made history by reaching 500 days on the Spotify Global Daily Chart. This is a record no other K-pop solo artist has achieved before!
But that’s not all. Seven has also broken records by staying on the Spotify Global Weekly Chart for an incredible 73 consecutive weeks, marking the longest chart run for any song by an Asian artist.
In addition, as of October, Seven remained in the Top 50 of Spotify's Global Daily Chart for over 350 days, making it the first song by an Asian artist to ever reach such a milestone.
Jungkook’s achievements didn’t stop there. He also made history by having two of his solo songs featured in Spotify’s Top Tracks of 2024 Global year-end list, becoming the first Asian solo artist to have multiple songs on the list in the same year.
On top of that, Seven ranked 41st on Apple Music’s Top Songs of 2024: Global year-end chart. It made history as the only K-pop solo song to appear on the list for two consecutive years.
Jungkook’s record-breaking journey continues to shine as he solidifies his place as a global music sensation!
