• 'Queen of Tears' two-part special follow-up broadcast will include “Ask Me Anything” + More

    More information has been revealed about the upcoming 'Queen of Tears' 2-part special broadcast.

    Confirmed by tvN on April 9, the hit series 'Queen of Tears' will be airing a special two-part broadcast, featuring an 'Ask Anything' segment.

    Unlike a typical highlight reel, this special broadcast will provide a unique opportunity for actors to directly answer questions from viewers.

    The special broadcast will include appearances by lead actors Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Ji Won, Park Sung Hoon, Kwak Dong Yeon, and Lee Joo Bin.

    Following the question and answer session, there will be a segment where the actors read witty comments posted online.

    TvN announced, "We will be collecting witty comments about the actors, and the cast members will read them aloud during the special broadcast." Scheduled for May 4 and 5, the special episodes will air following the final episode of 'Queen of Tears.'

    'Queen of Tears,' which premiered last month, depicts the risky and miraculous love story between Hong Hae In (played by Kim Ji Won), the third-generation heir of a Queen's group conglomerate and department store queen, and Baek Hyun Woo (portrayed by Kim Soo Hyun), the son of the Yondu-ri village head and supermarket prince, who are in their third year of marriage.

    Since its debut, 'Queen of Tears' has been setting records for four consecutive weeks and continues to gain popularity both domestically and internationally. According to Netflix, the series recorded 4.3 million views (Views divided by playtime) from the 25th to the 31st of last month, ranking first in the non-English TV series category.

    On May 8, Shoo posted several photos on Instagram showing her spending time with her twin daughters, Ra Hee and Ra Yul, at the Dongdaemun wholesale market. In the caption, she wrote, “Did everyone enjoy the holiday? I feel like I made a memory I’ll never forget for the rest of my life.”

    The photos showed Shoo and her daughters smiling brightly while eating and shopping together. Her daughters, now visibly grown up, were even seen wearing similar shoes and clothes as their mom.

    Shoo opened up about a painful chapter in her past. “When I was struggling, I once sold clothes I got from Dongdaemun with the help of a friend,” she shared. “I used to go there from night to early morning, picking up fleece clothes, hairpins, and shoes, thinking, ‘My kids would love this if I brought them here.’”

    Now that her daughters are older, Shoo finally fulfilled that dream. “We laughed so much while shopping. We bought hairpins, socks, and clothes together,” she said. “They’ve grown so much—they can even wear the same things as me.”

    Reflecting on the experience, she added, “Memories of my past flashed before my eyes. I told them how I used to work late at night, carrying heavy bags and walking around for 10 hours straight.”

    Shoo emotionally concluded, “I was so happy to show my kids the nighttime world I once worked in.”
