• Kazuha of LE SSERAFIM opens up about the K-pop group that paved the way for her to pursue a career in music

Kazuha of LE SSERAFIM discusses the K-pop band that inspired her to become a musician.

The making-of film for the 2022 MAMA was uploaded to YouTube on December 13.

Kazuha, while sitting in standby with Huh Yunjin, pointed to the Kyocera Dome and said with a grin, "I've watched a show here before."

Huh Yunjin was taken aback and asked, "Really? A ballet performance, perhaps?" Kazuha corrected her: "No, BLACKPINK's performance."

Kazuha recalled how in 2018 she saw BLACKPINK perform at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka.

Kazuha has often said how much she loves BLACKPINK and how the group is the reason she got into K-pop.

Kazuha also shared that the members of BLACKPINK serve as an inspiration to her, with the goal of being as captivating and stylish as them.

When Kazuha saw BLACKPINK perform at the 'Arena Tour 2018: Special Final in Kyocera Dome Osaka' in 2018, she decided she wanted to be a K-pop idol instead of a professional ballerina.

While Kazuha was in the Netherlands for her 2021 semester of study abroad, she submitted an online audition application to Source Music.

She made it through the audition process and into her first role with LE SSERAFIM.

  • Jannabi's Choi Jung Hoon writes heartfelt letter to aespa's Karina after 4-hour recording session for their collab

Jannabi recently shared behind-the-scenes stories about their new music, including their collaboration with aespa’s Karina.

On May 13, the band appeared as guests on the SBS Power FM 'Escape from Two O'Clock Cultwo Show' where Choi Jung Hoon and Kim Do Hyung opened up about their latest work.

Jannabi released their highly anticipated fourth full album Sound of Music pt.1 on April 28, and the title track "In the Name of Love!" featuring Karina quickly captured attention.

Choi Jung Hoon explained that the inspiration for the song came from his love for anime, particularly Sailor Moon.

He shared a humorous story, saying, "I came up with the title first, and in Sailor Moon, there's a line that says, 'In the name of justice, I won't forgive you.' But I mistakenly thought it said, 'In the name of love,'" which made everyone laugh during the interview.

When asked about his personal connection with Karina, Choi Jung Hoon revealed, “The song had a bright, mysterious feeling, and I wanted to make sure listeners felt the same emotion we had while making it.”

He also shared that he felt Karina was the perfect fit for the song, saying, "There’s a word ‘truth’ in the lyrics, and I thought if I sang it, it might sound too heavy. I wanted someone to bring brightness to it, and Karina immediately came to mind."

Choi Jung Hoon further explained, "The moment she sang that part in the recording studio, I knew the song was complete. I was so moved, I wrote her a letter."

Kim Do Hyung also spoke about the recording process, sharing, "It took about 3-4 hours, but Karina didn’t get tired at all. Her passion really impressed us."

Their collaboration is already making waves, and fans are excited to see what Jannabi and Karina bring next!
