Ham Eun Jung breaks down talking about T-ara’s bullying scandal, says “2012 was the worst year ever”
T-ara’s Ham Eun Jung opened up about her painful past while getting her fortune read!
On April 27, Ham Eun Jung uploaded a video called "Record-breaking fortune reading" on her YouTube channel. In the video, she sat down with a fortune teller who revealed surprising details about her life.
The fortune teller shared, "You had really good money luck in 2010 and 2011. But in 2012, you entered a 'grave period' where all your activities stopped. Then a bad fate followed in 2013, with signs of death, and in 2014, signs of illness. From 2015, there were signs of weakness too."
Hearing this, Ham Eun Jung was shocked and shared, "I didn’t get the money I earned during T-ara days until then. In 2012, I finally got my settlement. It was huge. But 2012 was really the worst for me."
T-ara first debuted in 2009 with "Lies" and quickly became one of the top girl groups with their 2010 mega-hit "Bo Peep Bo Peep." They continued to dominate with hits like "Crazy Because of You," "Why Are You Being Like This," "YaYaYa," "Roly Poly," and "Cry Cry."
But everything changed in 2012 when T-ara got caught up in a huge bullying controversy involving new member Ryu Hwa Young. The scandal caused a major public backlash. Ham Eun Jung even had to leave the drama Five Fingers because of the controversy.
That same year, Ryu Hwa Young left the group, and T-ara tried to make a comeback with "Day by Day." However, their popularity in Korea never fully recovered. Although "Number Nine" did okay, their next song "What Should I Do" flopped, and Korean activities started to fade. By 2017, the members ended their contracts with MBK Entertainment, and T-ara’s group activities basically came to a stop.
Since then, Ham Eun Jung has focused more on acting. She recently appeared in the drama Queen of the House.
During the fortune reading, the fortune teller also said, "You were born with the energy of gold, like a jewel. You have the fate of being popular and attractive." However, they also added, "There’s no fire in your saju. Fire usually stands for a workplace or a husband. I don't see a husband, but you will have children."
Ham Eun Jung looked very shocked by this. The fortune teller comforted her, saying, "It doesn’t mean you can’t get married. It just means you don't match well with men who act too bossy or old-fashioned. If a man tries to control you too much, it will be hard."
Fans are showing support for Ham Eun Jung after seeing her honesty and strength through all the ups and downs.
