• "Our Beloved Summer" Actor Choi Woo Shik Reveals He Started Acting Thanks To His Ex-Girlfriend For 5 Years

A video from the past of actor Choi Woo Shik is causing a hot reaction.

Recently, on SNS and YouTube, the video of Choi Woo Shik's past appearance on entertainment shows and talking about his ex-girlfriend was re-examined. Choi Woo Shik once appeared on tvN's "Live Talk Show Taxi " in 2015 and talked about his ex-girlfriend.

At the time, Choi Woo Shik confessed, "I've been dating (my ex-girlfriend) for about five years," adding, "In a way, I started acting because of her."

He said, "Originally, I wanted to study directing in Canada, but my girlfriend at the time said, 'Now in Korea (like you) pair less actors are fashionable". He added, "That's why I thought, 'It wouldn't be bad to learn acting first before studying directing'."

Then he explained, "At that time, my girlfriend put in an online Korean audition application instead of me. But I passed the audition and came to Korea from Canada."

Choi Woo Shik thanked her greatly, saying that she was able to choose an actor's path thanks to his ex-girlfriend. He surprised everyone by revealing, "I didn't do much when I was dating (with that friend). So, after we broke up, I try to buy her delicious food and keep in touch."

About 7 years later, this content drew attention again, and netizens were amazed. This is because the character Choi Woong, played by Choi Woo Shik in the recently ended SBS drama 'Our Beloved Summer', and his actual love story are very similar.

In the Instagram page comment window containing the broadcast, "It's totally Choi Woong himself, really", "I don't know, but thanks to her ex-girlfriend", "Wow… I'm in love with Woong Shik (Choi Woong + Choi Woo Shik)", "Ung-a", "Until the past What if it's perfect?", "I'm really envious of who that girlfriend is", "I heard that friend applied on 'You Quiz'.. She was that girlfriend.. hahaha", "Oh, the narrative is crazy. Woong is the original character…. ?"

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
