Actor Kim Dong Hee was acquitted of allegations of school violence.

On the 28th, Kim Dong Hee‘s legal representative issued an official statement regarding the school violence allegations. “Kim Dong Hee has been trying for a long time to find the truth through a law enforcement agency about the allegations posted online in February,” they stated.

The law firm continued, “During this process, we have submitted Kim Dong Hee’s own statement, statements of his teachers and classmates, and copies of his school records. But they were from so long ago, and because there was no clear evidence to support each other’s differences and claims, the investigation concluded that the actor was acquitted.”

However, they stressed that Kim Dong Hee himself wanted to make things right regarding the allegations of bullying a disabled friend. They explained that the actor has two disabled family members and has been trying to mend the pains of his family since he was a boy. “The false information about harassing the disabled classmate became too much pain not only for him but also for his family,” the statement read.

Lastly, Kim Dong Hee’s lawyer concluded, “There was a time that Kim Dong Hee had lost his way as he blamed his substandard environment. But he did not do anything that would cause a social scandal. But realizing that there were some who his immature words and actions might have hurt, he took the time to reflect on himself deeply.”

Earlier this year, an article alleging Kim Dong Hee's school violence was posted on an online community. The author argued, "The people who are currently bullied are very cute compared to Kim Dong Hee". At that time, his agency Npio Entertainment said, "Kim Dong Hee has nothing to do with school violence," and "we will take legal action."

NewJeans' Minji touched fans' hearts with a handwritten letter on her birthday — even while the group is currently unable to promote due to legal issues.

On May 7, Minji celebrated her birthday by sharing a heartfelt message on the group’s personal SNS account, which the members opened themselves to stay connected with fans.

Minji began her letter with honesty, writing, “I think I’m living a busier life than I expected. When I finally looked up, it was already May, and it was my birthday.”

She admitted that she had a lot she wanted to say, but her thoughts felt “messy.” Still, her message to fans was clear, “I just hope that I, our members, and Bunnies can all be happy. Happiness is the biggest goal in my life.”

Her message comes during a difficult time for NewJeans. The group announced last year that they were cutting ties with ADOR, their original agency, after trust was broken. They later began working independently under the new name ‘NJZ’.

However, ADOR responded with legal action — claiming the exclusive contract with NewJeans was still valid and asking the court to stop the group from promoting or signing deals.

The court sided with ADOR and granted an injunction, forcing NewJeans to pause their activities. Their appeal was rejected, and they’ve now filed a second appeal.

Through it all, Minji’s message proves one thing — even when forced to stop, NewJeans' hearts are still moving forward.
