• Hwang Jung Eum Earns 4.7 billion KRW (~4 million USD) In Profit After Selling Her building In Sinsa-dong

    Hwang Jung-eum, who received many congratulations for her second pregnancy, delivered another great news.

    Maeil Business News Agency reported on the 16th that Hwang Jung-eum sold the building in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul after 3 years, earning a profit of 4.7 billion won.

    According to reports, Hwang Jung-eum bought a building in Sinsa-dong (1 basement floor and 6 above-ground floors) in 2018 for 6.25 billion won. After that, he sold the building last month for 11 billion won.

    If you look at the simple purchase and sale amount alone, it is a profit of 4.75 billion won.

    A real estate official explained through the media, "Even if Hwang Jeong-eum bought it under the name of the corporation he is currently representing and considered paying corporate tax when transferring it, he would have made more than 3 billion won in tax profit within three years and eight months of holding it."

    Hwang Jung-eum previously attracted attention by purchasing a detached house in Itaewon-dong, Seoul for 4.65 billion won last year under her own name.

    Meanwhile, Hwang Jung-eum married Lee Young-don, a former professional golfer, in 2016, and had a son the following year.

    After that, news of their breakup last year broke out, but they succeeded in reuniting after a year. In October, she announced that she was pregnant with her second child and was baptized.

    On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

    During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

    He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

    The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

    “I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

    He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

    “In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

    Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
