• OH MY GIRL Achieves The Longest Chart-in Record Among Girl Group Songs With 'Nonstop'

The group OH MY GIRL set a tie record for the longest period of time on the charts among girl group songs with 'Nonstop' released last year.

On August 19, Oh My Girl's 7th mini album 'NONSTOP', the title song ' Nonstop ', achieved the longest chart-in record among girl group songs released since 2014. ' Nonstop ' stayed on the 'Melon Top 100 Chart' for 479 days since it was released on April 27 last year. The previous best record was TWICE's 'Cheer up' and a tie record. The record of ' NONSTOP ' is currently in progress, so if there are no surprises, it is expected to rise to the top spot on the 20th.

Oh My Girl's 'Dolphin' also took 3rd place following the tie for 1st place. 'Dolphin' has been on the Top 100 chart for 473 days. If this status is maintained for a week, OH MY GIRL will have their names on both 1st and 2nd places. After that, Black Pink's 'As If It's Your Last' ranked 4th with 453 days, Red Velvet's 'Red Flavor' at 5th with 445 days, and GFRIEND's 'Me Gusta Tu' with 437 days at 6th, respectively. In 7th place, Blackpink's 'How you like that' was 418 days, Mamamoo's 'HIP' was in 8th place for 373 days, and in 9th place was Blackpink's 'Playing with Fire' with 357 days. In 10th place, TWICE's "Like Ooh Ah" was named 350 days, respectively.

In the top 10 of the record, Black Pink has the most with three songs. Oh My Girl and Twice have two songs each, and Red Velvet, GFRIEND, and Mamamoo have one song each. The record of consecutive entry days for 'Melon Top 100' was counted from January 1, 2014. Just by hearing their name, Oh My Girl took the lead in the rankings with many prominent singers, proving once again their status as a top-notch music powerhouse.

'Nonstop' is a song that gave Oh My Girl numerous awards, including 8 trophies on music shows, the Golden Disc Awards 'Digital Source Bonsang', the Melon Music Awards 'Top 10 Artist Award', and the Brand of the Year 'Grand Prize in Female Idol Category'. Since then, Oh My Girl has enjoyed the greatest popularity since their debut, shooting about 10 commercials. 'DUN DUN DANCE', released on May 10, has also recorded good results on various charts, including three music shows, and has been on the charts for 103 days in a row.

  • Yoo Jae Suk and Kim So Hyun bond over feeling uncomfortable with too much kindness

Yoo Jae Suk recently opened up about how his manager’s excessive kindness made him feel a bit uncomfortable.

On May 10, a new video was released on the Tteun Tteun YouTube channel, featuring Kim So Hyun, Park Bo Gum, Lee Sang Yi, and Yoo Jae Suk.

During the video, Kim So Hyun, born in 1999, surprised everyone with her honest and straightforward answers, showing the typical openness of the MZ generation.

Park Bo Gum described Kim So Hyun as “really honest and down-to-earth,” while Lee Sang Yi added, “She has no pretenses and is very straightforward, just like now.”

Kim So Hyun explained, “The older brothers are very thoughtful and take good care of me. But since I’ve become more independent, I’m more of the ‘I’m fine, it's okay’ type. The brothers try to take care of me, but I just move on quickly,” highlighting the difference in personalities.

Yoo Jae Suk, agreeing with her, shared, “I know what you mean,” as Kim So Hyun explained, “I’m the type to do things on my own, so I’m not used to being taken care of.”

Yoo Jae Suk then shared a personal story, saying, “That's similar to me. I also feel a little uncomfortable with being taken care of. My manager, when he first came from another company, would open doors for me. It was too much, and it felt burdensome.”

Ji Seok Jin joined the conversation, saying, “When I get out of the car, he comes to greet me and opens the door when I get in,” to which Yoo Jae Suk laughed, jokingly asking, “Was he from a big company?” Lee Sang Yi was also surprised, saying, “Isn’t that VIP treatment?”

Yoo Jae Suk’s discomfort with his manager’s kindness left fans laughing and relating to his story of feeling a bit overwhelmed by too much attention.
